How safe and healthy is your swimming pool ?
Swimming pool sanitation is the process of ensuring healthy conditions in swimming pools, hot tubs, plunge pools, and similar recreational water venues. Proper sanitation is needed to maintain the visual clarity of water and to prevent the transmission of infectious waterborne diseases of water illnesses (RWIs) are caused by germs and chemicals found in the water we swim in. They are spread by swallowing, breathing in mists or aerosols of, or having contact with contaminated water in swimming pools .Beyond the beauty of a sparkling pool, there are also health concerns when pools aren’t maintained properly. Contaminated water can look clear but still pose the risk of getting you sick. Red eyes and itchy skin isn’t necessarily indicative of too much chlorine. Or what about the clean, fresh smell of…chlorine? The truth is that chlorine shouldn’t have an odor. Hard to believe, right? That “chlorine” smell comes from a mixture of chlorine and contaminants reacting with one another on the surface of your pool. A pool that is well maintained and cared for has little to no odor because the contaminants are nowhere to be found. Breathing in the chemicals from an unbalanced pool can be harmful. Both the chemicals and the contaminants that aren’t eliminated by proper maintenance can be detrimental.
Water balance is not just the chlorine. We are not create a chlorine soup pool for sanitation. Water balance is a chemistry including PH The pH is a measurement of whether the water is acidic or basic. - CHLORINE Chlorine oxidizes any organic material like algae or bacteria in water - TOTAL ALKALINITY Total alkalinity level measures the buffering ability of the water, or the ability to prevent pH “bounce”. - CALCIUM HARDNESS Calcium hardness measures the levels of calcium in the water in parts per million. In a pool, calcium levels determine if the water is aggressive, with low levels, or will leave scale with high levels. Aggressive water can etch the surfaces. - T.D.S. (TOTAL DISSOLVED SOLIDS ) refer to any minerals, salts, metals, cations or anions dissolved in water. Total dissolved solids (TDS) comprise inorganic salts (principally calcium, magnesium, potassium, sodium, bicarbonates, chlorides, and sulfates) and some small amounts of organic matter that are dissolved in water - CYANURIC ACID. Contained in chlorine. Cyanuric acid level is the amount of stabilizer in the water. The stabilizer acts like sun block for the water, preventing the residual of chlorine in the water from being burned up by the sunlight. - PHOSPHATES Phosphate is a vital plant nutrient and the presence in swimming pool water .
Like it or not all above contained in a pool water. Our obligation is to balance them.We use specialized equipment tools for the water test.
Swimming pool water requires careful monitoring and adjusting of chemicals to ensure your health and safety.
How we make safe and healthy your pool.
Skim the surface of the pool for leaves and debris.
Dump debris from skimmers into a container. Instead of leaving it in your flowerbed or trash can, we take all debris away with us!
Brush the sides and steps of the pool/spa for algae.
Vacuum the bottom for sediment and debris.
Test and correct the water chemistry.
Check the equipment for leaks or wear and tear.
Rotate and check valves.
Backwash the filter.
Monitor the pool’s water level and notify homeowner if water is needed.
Monitor the pressure of the filter.
For salt cell systems, cleaning is included.
We adjust the chemical application to each unique pool, and according to the weather and season of the year.
